Kimmerle's anomaly has become symptomatic with vertebrobasilar insufficiency: Case Report

Kimmerle’s anomaly is a variant anatomical of atlas. In this case 28 year old female patient diagnosed with bilateral complete Kimmerle anomaly has symptomatic with signs of vertebrobasilar insufficiency was presented and discussed. Especially, Kimmerly anomaly should be kept in mind in patients admitted who have headache, vertigo, nausea, paresthesia in the face with neck pain and in patients who have unexplained symptoms. Patients should be evaluated from this perspective. Patients should be informed about the possibility of vertebral artery injury for cervical manipulation, surgery and repeated trauma.
