Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis is a rare autosomalrecessive disorder characterized by systemic anhidrosis, insensitivity to pain, mental retardation, osteomyelitis, and joint deformities which could result in amputations. Prosthetic rehabilitation is important in patients who had congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis associated with amputation. In this case report, we discuss the effects of anhidrosis, insensitivity to pain and other symptoms on prosthetic fitting and rehabilitation.
