Tumor necrosis factor-alpha inhibitors (anti TNF-alpha) are agents that increasingly used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis resistant to classical disease-modifying treatment and they provide better functional outcome. However, these agents have serious side effects. Their safety has been questioned by several published reports of increased risk for malignancies. In this study, we present a patient with ankylosing spondylitis who developed cervix cancer after receiving anti TNF-alpha therapy for 19 months.
