Split cord malformation (Diastometamyelia, diplomyelia) is a rare developmental embryological fusion defect and is characterized by double spinal cord formation. It is an important etiological factor in the pathogenesis of scoliosis. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography are very useful radiological examinations in the diagnosis.
