Paget’s disease of bone (PD) is characterized by focal increases in bone turnover of unknown etiology that affects mainly elderly population. PD is the second most common metabolic bone disease after osteoporosis in western countries. The diagnosis of PD is made most commonly, incidentally in patients undergoing biochemical or radiologic investigations for other conditions. Pain in the involved bone(s) is the most common symptom of PD. Bisphosphonates are first line drugs in treatment of PD. We report a patient who was previously followed with the diagnosis of osteoporosis, partially improved from bisphosphonate treatment and diagnosed as PD in our clinic.
